AKG - PZM30D

The AKG PZM30 D surface microphone is designed for professional sound recording, sound reinforcement and broadcasting. Its capsule operates in the pressure zone, where direct and reflected sounds remain in phase, which improves sensitivity and ensures effective sound capture from the source.

With a frequency response of 20 to 20,000 Hz and a sensitivity of 7 mV/Pa, this model reproduces a wide sound spectrum with fine detail. The signal-to-noise ratio of 74 dB-A also contributes to a clean sound reproduction, ideal for recordings requiring clear detail.

The frequency response selector offers real flexibility in placement and sound reproduction, with a choice between a linear mode or a boost in the high frequencies. This second setting enhances brightness and attack, making it particularly suitable for percussion, drums and piano when greater presence in the upper end of the spectrum is required.

Its ultra-slim metal housing withstands the rigours of intensive set-ups, with a design intended to remain unobtrusive around the sound source. The detachable cable also makes installation and replacement easier – a welcome feature when the microphone is regularly moved or integrated into different recording set-ups.
