Altamira - M01D RN + Étui

The Altamira M01D RN takes its cues from traditional Selmer-Maccaferri Gypsy guitars, instruments that became emblematic thanks to the playing of Django Reinhardt. Designed for gypsy jazz, but open to other acoustic styles, it emphasises projection, precision and responsiveness.

This type of guitar stands out for its ability to bring out rhythm and attack without amplification. In an acoustic playing context, this allows the chords to exist clearly and the melodic lines to retain their presence.

The solid European spruce top contributes directly to this feeling, with a rapid response and well-defined notes. The rosewood back and sides add more depth and harmonic richness, while retaining the directness sought after in the Manouche style.

The mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard add to the comfort of playing and the precision of movement on the neck. With its 22 frets, 52 mm nut and 670 mm scale, the M01D RN retains the feel you'd expect from a Gypsy guitar, with a tension and attack that's ideal for both rhythmic playing and solos.

Designed for gypsy jazz, swing, acoustic accompaniment and dynamic playing, it comes with a case for easy transport and day-to-day protection.
