Folk Electro Acoustic Guitar
Alvarez guitars are synonymous with exceptional build quality and a rich, powerful sound. The construction of this MD60EBG is based on the timeless duo of solid mahogany and Sitka spruce, for a sound that's brilliant in the treble and powerful in the bass. It's perfectly suited to all musical styles, but will be a particular delight to players who enjoy picking. Its on-board electronics, by LR Baggs, guarantee the most faithful reproduction possible once the instrument is plugged in.

Presentation
The art of Japanese violin making meets the Western classics.
In the late 1960s, St. Louis Music (an American distributor) met Kazuo Yairi, a Japanese master luthier who was making concert classical guitars by hand.
Together, St. Louis Music and the Yairi factory began designing and developing steel-string acoustic guitars and importing them to the United States and around the world.
The guitars took on the brand name of St. Louis Music's line of Spanish guitars, "Alvarez". Similar instruments were also sold under the factory brand name "K. Yairi" in Europe and other parts of the world.
The brand is divided into 3 main families: Artist (the entry-level model), Masterworks (the flagship models) and Yairi (the top-of-the-range model made in Japan).

About the Masterworks series.
We created our Masterworks series to be the best range of fully solid-state guitars available to players today. Their specifications are incredibly high for their cost and they sound like fully solid professional guitars, with fantastic response and projection. Nothing can really match an all solid wood guitar.
Notes are projected faster, sound quality is better, you can get optimum response and the sound of your guitar only gets better with age.
After 55 years of making guitars, continuous improvement through the use of emerging technologies, processes and materials is still at the heart of our culture. Alvarez guitars are conscientiously built in every sense, from the preparation of raw materials to the construction and manufacturing processes.
Our woods are carefully dried; our components such as neck blocks and wooden joints are carefully designed. The painting, sanding and polishing techniques we use are constantly evolving, and our sound recognisable thanks to a stable, coherent and lively sounding board. This caring approach to development stems from a simple goal: to provide the best guitars on the market at every price point, instruments that offer truly incredible value and provide a fantastic playing experience.
