Presentation
The acoustic signature of this Legacy CW is a rare balance: the roundness of Canadian wild cherry softens the vigour of solid spruce. The Concert Hall body delivers clear projection without aggression, ideal for fingerpicking or light pickwork. Each string retains its articulation, even under sustained attack. The 631 mm pitch reduces string tension, allowing smoother bends and natural vibrato under the fingers.
The construction is based on selected North American woods. The solid spruce top responds to dynamic pressure: the more you attack, the more it releases volume and airy harmonics. The Canadian wild cherry back and sides add woody warmth in the midrange, without muddy bass. The rosewood fingerboard gives a precise glide, with a grain that slightly retains the pulp for greater control. The silver leaf maple neck remains stable in the face of temperature changes.
The Godin electronics pick up the soundboard without colouring the wood. The cutaway gives free access to the high frets, which is useful for melodic phrases in the upright position. This 4.2 kg, six-string upright guitar shines in intimate sessions and on acoustic stages. The semi-gloss Tennessee Red finish prevents aggressive reflections. It's a working tool, not a showpiece.
