The Pedal of Doom bass distortion pedal is built around an equaliser, allowing you to find the right frequencies to cut through the mix or to weigh down the rhythm with the drummer. To help them design this war machine, Ashdown didn't look far and chose the famous bassist from Black Sabbath, Geezer Butler, in particular for his use of dynamics in his tracks, which still sound as good today as when they were recorded.

Presentation
After receiving countless requests to make a Geezer Butler preamp pedal based on the Head of Doom amp head, Ashdown jumped at the chance and now presents The Pedal of Doom.
After a few months the first prototype of the pedal was ready, Geezer was blown away by the pedal and had some very kind words, "this is without a doubt the best sounding and designed pedal I have ever played and with my amp it really has the sound I live for."
The Geezer Butler Pedal of Doom features a transformer-isolated Di output with 2 switchable EQs.
2 Vumeters designed to ensure your bass signal is balanced on the input and output of the signal path :
- Use the input level meter to bring the EQ to the desired level based on your instrument's output.
- The output level meter ensures that the signal returning to your amp is as it enters to avoid unwanted gain jumps or conversely to guarantee gain jumps when necessary.
