Presentation
The Audeze Maxwell 2 PlayStation wireless gaming headset has been designed for gamers who want to take audio quality and comfort to the next level. Thanks to its latest-generation 90mm planar magnetic transducers, usually reserved for high-end hi-fi, it delivers exceptionally accurate sound reproduction. Sound details are perfectly defined, bass more punchy thanks to SLAM™ technology, and the soundstage becomes particularly immersive for narrative as well as competitive games.
Optimised for the PlayStation ecosystem, the Maxwell 2 exploits Tempest 3D Audio technology to precisely position sounds in space. This spatialisation improves the perception of enemy movements, the localisation of sound effects and overall immersion. Competitive gamers gain a strategic advantage, while adventure seekers benefit from a more realistic sound environment.
Designed for long sessions, the headset has a new, wider, ventilated headband and replaceable ear pads. The weight distribution has been optimised to reduce fatigue, even after several hours of play. Battery life is in excess of 80 hours when used wirelessly, and the USB-C quick charge feature means you can recover energy quickly so you can get back to the game straight away.
Full connectivity is another major advantage. The Maxwell 2 PlayStation works wirelessly via an ultra-low latency USB-C dongle, in multipoint Bluetooth 5.3 (LDAC, AAC, LE Audio) or wired via USB-C and a 3.5 mm jack. This versatility makes it easy to switch from console to PC or mobile phone. The detachable microphone with AI-assisted noise reduction ensures clear communication when gaming or streaming.
The result is a premium gaming headset designed for demanding PlayStation gamers, combining immersive sound, long-lasting comfort and total versatility.

What are the differences between the PS5 and Xbox versions?
The Audeze Maxwell 2 gaming headset is available in two distinct versions, designed to adapt to the Xbox or PlayStation console ecosystems. Both models remain compatible with PC, Mac and Nintendo Switch or Switch 2, but it's important to choose the version that corresponds to your main console to take advantage of all the audio features.
The PlayStation version of the Audeze Maxwell 2 gamer headset is optimised for the PS5's Tempest 3D AudioTech engine, enabling immersive sound spatialisation in compatible games. For its part, the Xbox version includes a Dolby Access licence directly linked to the headset (automatic activation), giving access to Dolby Atmos for Headphones processing on Xbox and PC. This integrated licence explains the difference in price between the two versions.
