Avantone Pro - Planar the II Creme

The Avantone Planar the II are open studio headphones that use magnetic planar technology to deliver highly accurate sound reproduction, without excessive coloration or artificial accentuation of the spectrum. This cream-coloured version retains strictly the same acoustic performance as the other versions, while adopting a clearer, more elegant aesthetic, particularly appreciated in well-appointed studio environments or modern hi-fi set-ups.

Unlike traditional dynamic transducers, the Planar the II's planar drivers use an extremely thin and light diaphragm, driven evenly over its entire surface by a network of neodymium magnets. This design ensures very fast transient response, particularly low distortion and faithful reproduction of micro-detail. Attacks are crisp, long reverberations remain legible, and bass maintains a firm footing without artificial swelling.

The open architecture of the Planar the II plays a central role in its reproduction. It limits the phenomena of internal pressure and resonance typical of closed headphones, offering a broad stereo image, a better perception of space and a more natural representation of frequency balances. This approach makes them a relevant tool for mixing, making decisions about balances, dynamics or spatialization, but also for prolonged listening without fatigue.

Careful attention has also been paid to comfort. The Planar the II remains surprisingly light for planar headphones, with circumaural cushions designed for long work sessions. The headband distributes weight effectively, while the open design prevents heat build-up during prolonged use.

Designed to fit easily into a variety of configurations, the Planar the II has a moderate impedance and requires no complex amplification. It can be used with studio audio interfaces, hi-fi systems and sufficiently powerful mobile devices. The detachable cable, which can be connected to either side of the headphones, provides appreciable flexibility depending on the ergonomics of the workstation.
