Measurement Microphone

ORIA Mini reinvents the crucial stage of studio monitoring by slipping in between your interface, your PC and your speakers and acting like a digital conductor ready to put every frequency back in place. With its internal DSP, it directly embeds Sonarworks' SoundID Reference profiles, calibrated to give your space a neutral and precise frequency response, without your CPU sweating a drop. A solid stereo image, tight bass, airy highs: your mix breathes better than ever, and translation becomes reliable from one system to another, whether you're going from headphones to a smartphone or Hi-Fi listening. Its simplicity hides a formidable efficiency: express measurement, storage of several profiles, instant management of target curves and total compatibility with any configuration. The equation is simple: discreet hardware, an accelerated workflow, and monitoring that stops lying. And as an added bonus, even your ears will say thank you.

Where other solutions have relied on software, this hardware processor has chosen a radically different path. With its 32-bit converters and 127dB dynamic range, it acts as a trusted link between your audio interface and your speakers. You go from a crash-prone software calibration to an autonomous DSP engine, capable of swallowing up your SoundID Reference profiles without flinching.

The first few times you use it, the detail in the midrange immediately jumps out at you: the haze disappears and each track takes its place in the spectrum. The automatic equalisation and integrated delay compensation perfectly resynchronise the subwoofer and satellites. Just as you switch instantly from a flat target curve to a smartphone simulation, your ear switches in the blink of an eye to the most varied listening environments. The workflow speeds up as soon as the DSP takes over, and you enjoy precise monitoring without interruptions or additional adjustments.

Even in a room with reflective walls or in an improvised home studio, the installation can be completed in less than 20 minutes using the included measurement microphone. Once the calibration has been validated, everything is stored in the internal memory. Your monitoring is no longer dependent on software running in the background, and the ultra-low latency is invisible to the ear.

While you're mixing, the interface can be controlled remotely via an iPad or Stream Deck. You can switch from one Dolby Music-calibrated profile to another targeted to your headphones in two clicks, without ever interrupting playback. Everything is fluid and immediate, as if the processor were anticipating your needs. It manages configurations of up to 2.1 channels, enabling a perfectly balanced subwoofer configuration even in complex rooms.

When Sonarworks and Audient joined forces, the idea was not to add yet another gadget to the market. Their aim was to transpose the SoundID Reference calibration, already adopted in thousands of studios, directly into stable, stand-alone hardware. The ORIA series was therefore born as a clear response to the limitations faced by engineers who were constantly juggling with software.

This partnership has resulted in a product designed to last and fit into any control room. You'll install ORIA Mini at the heart of your system and benefit from hardware acoustic correction, while your CPU remains available for your favourite plug-ins. Getting the right sound in a room is no longer an endless hassle, but a smooth, reproducible process that you'll find identical in your home studio or pro space.

To get the best out of this machine, think about quality balanced cables and why not a Stream Deck controller to change profiles live. Top-of-the-range monitor speakers and a calibrated subwoofer will complete the package, guaranteeing that your mix will sound right at home on any platform. In short, your studio will take on a much more coherent and enjoyable dimension.
