The Pro Tools audio interface | Carbon™ is equipped with high-end converters and preamps. It connects to your computer via an Ethernet port (or using an Ethernet to Thunderbolt adapter).
This interface is a first for Avid since it is hybrid in the sense that it integrates 8 AAX DSPs and therefore does not require a PCIe HDX Core card to manage AAX DSP plug-ins with inaudible latency.
This solution provides an incredible gain in power for your recording or mixing sessions loaded with number of tracks and software processing. From Pro Tools, activate this hybrid DSP engine on the tracks that require it.
