With its 12 faders, the Oxygen 3000 Plus 12 Fader 1A from Axel Technology offers a control surface suited to radio control rooms that require more directly accessible sources whilst maintaining a relatively compact footprint. Its fully digital architecture ensures signal mixing, processing and routing with a claimed latency of less than 0.7 ms.

The audio I/O card provides up to 5 microphone inputs with Automix, 2 stereo analogue inputs that can be expanded depending on source allocation, 4 analogue outputs, an AES/EBU input/output, two stereo USB interfaces, Bluetooth and a built-in telephone hybrid. The console also features a streaming input and output for directly integrating IP audio streams into the production chain.

Each input benefits from comprehensive processing with a 5-band parametric equaliser, compressor and expander on the microphones. The Automix function simplifies work during programmes involving multiple speakers by automatically adjusting the levels and muting unused microphones.

Internal routing is based on a 50 × 50 digital matrix, with four main buses plus PFL and the option to assign N-1 outputs. The console can therefore be configured for various control room set-ups, including programmes with remote guests, telephone calls or specific monitor feeds.

The user interface combines physical controls with a 7-inch IPS TFT main screen, supplemented by dedicated displays for faders and outputs. An HDMI output allows essential information to be displayed on an external screen and provides access to configuration functions.

The Oxygen 3000 Plus 12 Fader 1A can also be controlled remotely using Oxygen Remoter, which replicates the console’s controls on a computer and allows the use of up to 8 additional virtual faders. Configuration and maintenance can also be carried out via the web interface.
