Tascam - Sonicview 16
The Tascam Sonicview 16 is a high-end digital mixing console, equipped with a 96 kHz FPGA mixing engine and a built-in Dante interface. Its 16 mic/line inputs, 32-in/32-out USB interface and advanced DSP processing make it a powerful tool for studio, live and fixed installations.
Presentation
With its 96 kHz, 54-bit floating-point FPGA mixing engine, it delivers precise and transparent sound reproduction, with an ultra-low latency of just 0.51 ms between analog input and output.
Its flexible and scalable architecture, combined with Dante network connectivity and a 32x32 USB interface, makes it a leading choice for sound engineers and producers.
Featuring 16 mic/line inputs, the Sonicview 16 incorporates Tascam’s HDIA (High Definition Instrumentation Architecture) preamps, ensuring minimal noise and exceptional dynamics. These inputs are complemented by TRS, RCA connectors and two inserts for the addition of external effects, offering optimal flexibility in audio routing.
The mixing section offers 44 input channels, 22 mix buses, and an intuitive architecture allowing the assignment of advanced DSP processing on each channel, including parametric EQ, compressors, noise gates and limiters.
The user interface is based on two high-resolution 7-inch touch screens, which offer instant access to settings and a detailed visualization of the mix in real time. These screens facilitate the management of effects, routing and parameters, making navigation fluid and intuitive.
In addition, 16 motorized 100 mm faders provide tactile and responsive management of audio levels, with bank modes allowing rapid switching between channels and mixing groups.
With its 32x32 USB audio interface, the Sonicview 16 integrates seamlessly into DAWs for multitrack recording, while its expansion slot allows for the addition of MADI, AES/EBU, Dante or SD multitrack recorder cards, ensuring compatibility with professional audio systems.
The console also supports remote control via the Tascam Sonicview Control app, available on macOS, Windows and iPadOS, allowing parameter access and mix adjustment from anywhere on the network.
The Tascam Sonicview 16 thus offers a complete solution, combining audio quality, processing power and flexibility, for optimal performance in the studio and live.
