B&C Speakers - 12CLX64 8 Ohm

Designed to optimise space and performance in two-way systems, the B&C 12CLX64 combines a woofer and high-frequency compression driver in a single transducer.

This coaxial configuration produces a more coherent sound image, while simplifying integration into compact loudspeakers designed for mobile performances or fixed installations.

The bass section is based on a 64 mm copper coil, capable of handling a programme power of 500 W, with a response starting at 54 Hz. The neodymium magnet common to both sections not only keeps the weight down, but also ensures stable, efficient drive.

The cone, which has a waterproof treatment on the front, is supported by a well-balanced suspension, ideal for absorbing mechanical stress while maintaining good articulation in the lower frequency range.

In the treble section, the compression driver uses a 51mm aluminium voice coil and HT Polymer diaphragm, providing accurate reproduction up to 18kHz, with a high sensitivity of 106dB. An aluminium demodulation ring has been integrated to maintain low distortion even at high SPL levels, improving readability in the high frequencies, particularly in voice applications.

The whole system is designed for applications requiring controlled dispersion at 60°, whether as a stage monitor, satellite or main system with targeted coverage. The format remains discreet and easy to handle, weighing in at just 3.2 kg and with a depth of 164 mm, making it easy to integrate into loudspeakers with a high component density or small footprint.

Every detail has been studied to provide a coherent, robust and well-balanced solution, without unnecessary complexity, but with performance clearly on target.
