Presentation
Developed in collaboration with metal producer Kristian Kohle, the Eminence The Karnivore 8 Ohm is clearly aimed at guitarists looking for a precise response in saturated registers.
This 12-inch ceramic magnet model emphasises a taut, controlled low end, particularly useful for low tunings and modern rhythms.
In practice, the Karnivore offers a well-structured mid-range that keeps the guitar legible even in busy arrangements. The treble retains its presence without becoming aggressive, making it easy to integrate into a studio mix as well as on stage.
This makes it ideal for both high-gain stacks and singing leads requiring definition.
With a power handling capacity of 60 W and a sensitivity of 98.6 dB, this loudspeaker offers good efficiency and effective projection. Its frequency response of 70 Hz to 5.2 kHz covers the useful area of the electric guitar, while the 1.75-inch voice coil contributes to stable dynamic behaviour.
Made in Kentucky by Eminence, the Karnivore takes a performance and reliability-oriented approach. It will naturally find its place in 1x12 or 4x12 cabinets dedicated to modern styles, particularly metal, hard rock and extended tunings.
