B&C Speakers - 14NDL88 16 Ohm

With the 14NDL88 in 16 ohm version, B&C Speakers offers an interesting alternative to traditional formats for two-way systems. This 14-inch loudspeaker strikes a balance between size, power and efficiency, with a design that is as much about performance as it is about rationalising costs and weight.

The central-core neodymium motor, combined with an 88mm aluminium voice coil, reduces overall dimensions without sacrificing power handling. It has a capacity of 700W AES and a programme of 1400W, with an output of 98dB, making it easy to integrate into high-dynamic systems.

The driver's behaviour remains stable over a wide frequency range, from 45 to 3500 Hz, allowing it to be used with a wide variety of drivers and horns.

This model also benefits from special attention paid to distortion and thermal behaviour. The aluminium demodulation ring and ventilated air gap ensure smoother operation, even under stress.

The front of the diaphragm is treated to resist humidity, opening the door to use in less protected environments or as stage monitors.

With triple-roll suspension and a double silicone spider, the 14NDL88 offers clean travel and excellent impulse response, even at high levels. All this in a robust aluminium chassis, for a controlled weight of just 5.3 kg.

Mounted in a volume of around 75 litres and tuned to around 53 Hz, it is capable of producing tight, precise bass, while ensuring clarity in the midrange. It's a transducer that's equally at home in multi-purpose loudspeakers or more specialised configurations.
