B&C Speakers - 8CL51 16 Ohm

The B&C Speakers 8CL51 16 Ohm is aimed at sound system designers looking for a compact, lightweight, high-performance loudspeaker for two-way speakers, stage monitors or installed systems. Thanks to its internal neodymium motor, it offers an excellent power-to-weight ratio while retaining high dynamics and good handling at high levels.

Its 51 mm copper voice coil can handle 200 W AES with a comfortable programme margin, while ensuring accurate, stable reproduction in the mid-bass range. The presence of a copper demodulation ring helps to extend the response at the top end of the spectrum and reduce distortion, making it easy to integrate with a compression driver or tweeter.

The waterproof paper cone on the front provides good resistance to mechanical and environmental stress, making the 8CL51 16 Ohm suitable for both mobile systems and fixed installations. Its twin-roller suspension ensures controlled travel and a smooth response, while the optimised magnet basket and structure guarantee excellent mechanical stability.
