The B&C 18SW100 8 Ohm Recone Kit is designed to effectively restore a damaged 18" loudspeaker, without altering its performance or behaviour. Rather than replacing the entire transducer, this kit provides a precise, faithful and much more cost-effective refurbishment.
All the necessary components are included: copper voice coil, waterproof cone, spider, suspension and dome, each machined to the same specification as the original 18SW100.
Once installed, the loudspeaker regains its 8-ohm impedance, 96dB sensitivity and ability to handle up to 3,000W continuously. The frequency response remains perfectly suited to subwoofer use, from 35 Hz to 1 kHz, with good deep bass extension.
This type of kit is particularly useful for event service providers, system hire companies, stage managers or fixed installers who want to keep their equipment operational without disturbing the acoustic balance of their system. There are no changes to be made to the crossovers or amplification.
