On a busy pedalboard, the MIDI cable is often the last thing on anyone's mind - and the first source of problems; the Boss BMIDI-PB2 features multi-directional connectors with a three-position orientation.
The cable exits upwards, downwards or sideways depending on the actual stress of the setup, without any forced twisting of the plug. The 16 × 16 mm connector cross-section means that the cable can be neatly inserted between two adjacent devices without any mechanical overhang on neighbouring controls. Inside, the 4-wire oxygen-free copper conductor cables the five DIN pins in their entirety - no sacrificed pins, no manufacturing shortcuts. High-density copper shielding isolates the signal from electromagnetic interference from on-board power supplies. The MIDI clock passes through unaltered.
Its 60 centimetres cover the inter-device distances of a compact rack or floor switcher such as the ES-5 and ES-8. Compatible with any standard 5-pin MIDI device, it works on stage as well as in the studio. It comes with a lifetime warranty - no mean feat for a cable.
