A MIDI cable that blocks access to neighbouring switches is a problem of design, not space, and Boss' BMIDI-PB1 attacks this problem at its root. Its three-position, multi-directional connectors adapt to the actual geography of the pedalboard - jack down, jack up, jack to the side - without forcing the hand of the cable or shifting the plug sideways onto an adjacent pedal.
Its compact 16 × 16 mm cross-section means it can be inserted neatly even between two tightly packed cases. Inside, a 4-wire oxygen-free copper conductor ensures that the 5 MIDI DIN pins receive a signal without degradation over the connecting metre. The high-density copper shielding isolates the transmission from the electromagnetic interference generated by pedalboard power supplies - the MIDI clock arrives intact, without glitch.
