The Cayin CS-55CD DAC Silver combines a CD playback mechanism with a 12AU7 valve output stage to ensure your discs are reproduced with meticulous care. Its Texas Instruments Burr Brown PCM5101 converter and USB-B input also allow it to be used as an external DAC for a computer. Thanks to its coaxial and optical digital outputs, it integrates easily into an expandable hi-fi system.

The Cayin CS-55CD DAC Silver is a CD player designed for users who wish to enjoy their CD collection whilst benefiting from connectivity suited to today’s digital sources.
Its hybrid design combines a Texas Instruments Burr Brown PCM5101 converter with a 12AU7 valve in the analogue output stage. This architecture allows it to process signals from audio CDs and CD-Rs whilst retaining the benefits of valve-based electronics.
In addition to its function as a CD player, the CS-55CD DAC Silver can also be used as an external DAC thanks to its USB-B input. When connected to a computer, it supports PCM streams up to 32-bit / 384 kHz, allowing you to centralise the playback of digital audio files within a single hi-fi system.
To facilitate its integration into various set-ups, it features an RCA analogue output as well as optical and coaxial S/PDIF digital outputs. It can therefore be connected directly to an amplifier or used as a digital transport for an external converter.
Its construction is based on a robust chassis, a toroidal transformer with low magnetic leakage and a VFD display, ensuring ease of use on a daily basis.
