Cayin - IDAP-8

The Cayin IDAP-8 is a network transport designed for audiophiles wishing to get the most out of their external digital-to-analogue converter. Its fully digital architecture is based on a dual precision clock combined with an FPGA controller to minimise jitter and preserve the integrity of the signal transmitted to connected equipment.

Compatible with PCM files up to 32-bit / 768 kHz as well as DSD, DFF and SACD-ISO formats, the Cayin IDAP-8 provides access to a vast library of high-resolution music. Content can be played from the local network via DLNA, a USB drive, an SD card or directly from the 128 GB internal storage. A built-in rack also allows for the installation of a 2.5-inch hard drive with a capacity of up to 4 TB.

Based on Android with the Google Play Store, this network player offers access to the main audio streaming platforms via dedicated apps. Its 5-inch colour touchscreen makes it easy to navigate menus and view playback information.

Thanks to its numerous digital outputs, including AES/EBU, RCA and BNC coaxial, Toslink optical and HDMI I2S, the Cayin IDAP-8 integrates easily into a modern hi-fi system centred around a high-quality external DAC.
