To put it bluntly, Chandler Limited's Germanium preamplifier/DI is a throwback to a time when audio equipment sounded really good.
Germanium transistors have been used in the best products from Neve, EMI, Telefunken, and Fairchild, for their unique sonic characteristics.
What makes the Chandler Limited Germanium preamplifier unique is its gain circuitry. The Gain/Germanium and Feedback controls are closely linked. Gain acts as a standard gain control, but increase the amount of feedback and the Germanium Pre brings out its full potential, as well as adding a little extra bass and a delicious roll-off on the high frequencies.
For cleaner tones, keep the Germanium Preamp/DI Feedback in the background, or turn it up on big guitars and vocals.
