The Code Drumheads SIGSM18 Signal Smooth 18" tom skin uses a unique 14 mil ply to produce a deep bass with a pronounced attack. Its smooth sandblasted finish provides a precise feel and helps maintain a controlled sustain.

Presentation
The Code Drumheads Signal Smooth SIGSM18 18" tom skin is constructed with a 14 mil single ply. This thickness provides more resistance than a conventional single-ply skin while maintaining good response under the stick.
The PET polyester film used by the brand is designed to last and keep a stable tension. The skin remains reliable even with regular use in rehearsal, in the studio or on stage.
An integrated attenuator ring helps to calm the natural harmonics of the tom. The sound stays cleaner and the sustain stabilises quickly after hitting.
On an 18" tom, this gives a deep bass without the resonance taking up too much space. The attack remains clear and the drum retains a good presence in the mix.
The Smooth sanded finish improves the feel under the sticks and also works very well with brushes. The surface offers good control and a precise response.
