The Cort CR200 Gold Top Classic Rock Series guitar combines the timeless style of instruments from the golden age of electric guitars with modern features for an unmatched sonic experience. This single-cutaway mahogany body model is designed to produce a rich, warm and biting tone, ideal for fans of vintage rock and blues.
With a sleek design and meticulous finishing, the CR200 Gold Top immediately evokes the aesthetics of legendary guitars from the 50s and 60s, while incorporating contemporary elements for increased playability and stability.
The sonic heart of the CR200 lies in its Voiced Tone VTH-59 pickups, inspired by the famous PAF (Patent Applied For) pickups that have marked rock history. These pickups are built with Alnico II magnets and custom 0.06-inch coils, delivering a warm and powerful tone with balanced dynamics.
The VTH-59 perfectly reproduces the nuances of saturated chords as well as solos, offering an extended sustain thanks to the set-neck construction that optimizes the vibrations and adds harmonic richness to the midrange frequencies.
The mahogany neck, equipped with 22 frets and a jatoba fingerboard with a 12-inch radius, ensures optimal playing comfort for all styles. The rectangular mother-of-pearl inlay adds a touch of elegance to the whole, recalling the vintage finishes of classic models. In addition to this, the Graph Tech Nubone nut ensures an improved sonic balance and favors the high and low frequencies while eliminating dead zones.
The CR200 is equipped with vintage tuners that offer tuning stability while preserving the retro aesthetic of the instrument. The Tune-O-Matic bridge with fixed tailpiece guarantees precise adjustment of the intonation and optimal transmission of string vibrations for better resonance. The mahogany body, meanwhile, is enhanced by a Gold Top finish, adding a distinctive and captivating visual touch.
On the electronic side, the guitar is equipped with two volume and tone potentiometers for each pickup, as well as a three-position selector, allowing for a wide variety of nuances and sound combinations. The supplied D'Addario EXL110 strings complete this instrument, ensuring sound quality and good durability from the first pick-up.
