DBX - ZC6 EU

The DBX ZC6 EU offers a particularly practical solution when volume control needs to be accessible directly from the area being amplified. Rather than requiring the user to access the ZonePRO processor or use a computer interface, this wall-mounted controller focuses the essential controls on two clearly labelled buttons: volume up and volume down.

This approach is naturally suited to professional installations where several areas need to be used on a daily basis without the constant intervention of a technician. In a restaurant, for example, the ZC6 EU can be installed in a staff-only area to quickly adjust the background music to suit the level of activity in the dining area. In a hotel, it allows staff to adjust the volume in a reception area, lounge or dining room whilst keeping the main system management within the ZonePRO processor.

It is also useful in conference rooms, places of worship, retail outlets or event venues. A user can change the volume level in a zone without having to alter the other settings of the audio system. The processor thus retains its processing settings, whilst the ZC6 EU acts as a local interface for volume control.

The control can be programmed via the ZonePRO’s software interface, allowing its behaviour to be precisely defined and associated with the desired function. The built-in DIP switches are used to identify the controller within the installation when it is used alongside other ZC controllers.

Connection is made using a CAT5 or CAT5E cable and RJ45 connectors, making it easy to integrate into an existing installation. The cabling can be arranged in series or, with a ZC-BOB, in parallel for multiple controllers. In a parallel configuration, the total length can reach approximately 305 metres, which is suitable for buildings or installations spread over a large area.
