The DBX ZC-FIRE enables a fire safety system to be integrated into an audio installation fitted with a ZonePRO processor. When an alarm is triggered, it can automatically mute the audio output or select a pre-programmed scene to prioritise evacuation procedures and emergency announcements.

Presentation
The DBX ZC-FIRE is an interface designed to integrate a fire safety system with ZonePRO audio processors. It enables the behaviour of the audio system to be automated when a signal is received from a fire detection or alarm system, so that the sound output can be immediately adapted to an emergency situation.
The interface can be configured to mute the system or trigger a programmable scene selection when the alarm is activated. This second option allows a specific audio configuration designed for emergency situations to be recalled, depending on the installation’s requirements and the ZonePRO processor’s programming.
The trigger can be activated in two ways: via a relay in the fire safety system or directly from a control voltage. The ZC-FIRE thus provides a logical link between the safety system and the audio processing, without requiring manual intervention by the user.
Communication with the ZonePRO processor takes place via a CAT5 or CAT5E cable fitted with RJ45 connectors. The ZC-FIRE has two RJ45 connectors and can be integrated into a system using serial cabling or a parallel architecture with a ZC-BOB. In a parallel configuration, up to six controllers can be connected over a maximum distance of approximately 305 metres.
