Presentation
The Definitive Audio AD 2400X delivers 2 x 1200 W into 4 Ω, with a professional 2-channel design. Its Class D design provides the amplification, whilst the internal digital processing operates at 24-bit resolution and supports sampling rates ranging from 44.1 to 192 kHz. With a harmonic distortion rate of less than 0.5 per cent and typically less than 0.01 per cent, the amplifier is designed to maintain a clean signal during use.
Each channel can be adjusted independently using 21 gain settings, spaced at 1 dB intervals. You can adapt the operation to your system by selecting stereo, parallel or bridge mode, as well as an input sensitivity of 0.775 V, 1.2 V or 32 dB. For cabling, the AD 2400X features balanced XLR inputs, Speakon outputs and speaker terminals, with the option to loop the signal via male/female XLR connectors.
On the front panel, various LED indicators allow you to quickly monitor the unit’s status: power, signal presence, -12 dB and -3 dB levels, clipping and protection. The 2U rack-mount format makes it easy to install in a rack, whilst front and side ventilation ensures the electronics are cooled, provided these areas are kept clear. For a professional setup where available power really matters, the AD 2400X offers generous amplification whilst retaining controls that are simple to manage.
