Definitive Audio - AD 3000X
The Definitive Audio AD 3000X amplifier delivers 2 x 1,500 W into 4 Ω to power sound systems requiring high power across two channels. The gain for each channel can be adjusted independently in 1 dB steps, whilst stereo, parallel and bridge modes allow you to tailor the amplification to your setup. With its balanced XLR inputs, Speakon outputs and speaker terminals, you have everything you need to connect your system.
Presentation
In terms of settings, you can truly tailor the amplifier’s behaviour to your system. Each channel has its own gain control with 21 positions and 1 dB increments, whilst the rear panel allows you to select a sensitivity of 0.775 V, 1.2 V or 32 dB. The stereo, parallel and bridge modes also offer several configuration options depending on how you wish to utilise the two channels.
The connectivity includes balanced XLR inputs, Speakon outputs and speaker terminals, with male/female XLRs to enable a loop-through connection. On the front panel, the ON, SIG, -12 dB, -3 dB, CLIP and PROT LEDs allow you to monitor the signal, levels and any clipping or protection events at a glance. Cooling is provided by front and side ventilation: simply keep these areas clear and the AD 3000X will operate under optimal conditions.
