The Elektron Overhub II makes it easy to connect multiple USB instruments and peripherals to your computer. Its 6 USB ports – comprising 4 USB-C and 2 USB-A – support USB 3.2 Gen 2 at speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s. Designed for Overbridge set-ups, it allows you to centralise audio, MIDI and data whilst adding an SD card reader. Its USB-PD power supply can also provide power to connected devices.

Elektron Overhub II: the connection hub for your Overbridge setup
The Elektron Overhub II is a next-generation USB hub designed to simplify set-ups comprising multiple electronic instruments, computer peripherals and Overbridge-compatible Elektron machines.
Its design features six USB ports for peripherals, comprising four USB-C ports and two USB-A ports. This combination allows you to connect both the latest USB-C-equipped devices and older USB-A devices, without the need for multiple adaptors. USB 3.2 Gen 2 supports data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s, making it particularly well-suited to set-ups requiring the simultaneous transmission of data, MIDI and audio over USB.
The Overhub II fits naturally into an Overbridge environment. Elektron’s software enables compatible instruments to communicate with a computer and a DAW, allowing you to manage their parameters and transmit their audio and MIDI streams. Elektron’s documentation recommends using a high-quality hub when it is necessary to connect several Overbridge devices to a computer with only a single suitable USB controller.
However, the Overhub II is not limited to Elektron devices. It also functions as a general-purpose USB hub, allowing other compatible peripherals to be grouped together within the same workspace.
An SD card reader is also built in. It can be used to connect a memory card as external storage, offering a practical solution for file transfers and mobile workflows.
Finally, the Overhub II supports USB Power Delivery when connected to a compatible USB-PD power supply. It can then provide up to 10 W per front-panel port, with a total power output of up to 30 W for connected devices. A USB-PD power supply is not included with the hub.

The Overhub II should not be regarded as a hub capable of powering any USB-C device. With a compatible USB-PD power supply, Elektron specifies up to 10 W per port and 30 W in total. You should therefore check the actual power available per port before relying on the Overhub II to power an instrument or peripheral. For example, a device requiring more than 10 W from its single port will not be able to be powered correctly via this output, even if the USB-PD power supply used is much more powerful.
Another point of interest for Overbridge users: the Overhub’s appeal lies not simply in the number of ports. Elektron explains that its Multi-TT architecture is particularly useful when using multiple Full-Speed USB devices, as it allows each device to have its own Full-Speed bandwidth rather than sharing it with other devices on the hub.
