Elokance - Tower 15 Max

The elokance Tower 15 Max comes into its own when your sound system needs to do more than just play background music. With a maximum power output of 3,400 W, 1,700 W RMS and up to 136 dB SPL, this 3-way active system has the power in reserve for DJ sets, live bands, corporate events, temporary stages and venues where the audience doesn’t stay quietly within a three-metre radius. The Class D amplification powers the system’s three sections separately, with a stated RMS power distribution of 1,000 + 600 + 100 W. Each frequency range therefore receives its own amplification capacity, which helps maintain a structured mix as the volume rises.

In the bass department, the Tower 15 Max features a 15-inch driver with a 4-inch voice coil. This configuration delivers the expected punch on kick drums, electronic bass, toms and low-end instruments. The response extends down to 40 Hz – a range well-suited to modern music that demands impact without turning every performance into a four-subwoofer spectacle. For the midrange, elokance has chosen four 6.5-inch drivers with 2-inch voice coils. This section handles a crucial part of the sound: vocals, guitars, keyboards, percussion and the overall presence of the mix.

The treble has its own 4.7-inch driver with a 1.75-inch voice coil. This design extends the frequency response up to 20 kHz and enables the system to cover the entire spectrum across three distinct acoustic zones. At a concert, this means you can achieve clear vocals without sacrificing the rhythmic foundation. During a DJ set, the bass retains its impact whilst the attack and detail in the upper frequencies remain present. And at a conference, the system has the necessary headroom to ensure speech is intelligible across a larger space.

The coverage of 100° horizontally and 40° vertically also plays a major role in practical use. You can cover an extended listening area without concentrating all the energy along the central axis. At a wedding, a corporate event or a public function, listeners move about, chat and dance – and always seem to find that one table positioned exactly where you wanted to run your cable. Wide horizontal dispersion therefore helps to maintain a more consistent listening experience across the entire listening area.

The digital brain of the Tower 15 Max is based on a 48 kHz / 56-bit DSP. Five presets are available: Original, Live, Vocal, DJ and User. You can quickly start with a setting tailored to the application, then use User mode when a setup requires a more personalised approach. The RS485 network, via two RJ45 ports, adds a dimension of control that is particularly useful in a professional environment. The dedicated software allows you to integrate the system into a more advanced setup workflow, rather than managing everything by ear between the soundcheck and the doors opening.

The connectivity gets straight to the point: an XLR/6.35 mm jack combo line input, an XLR line output, and satellite input and output via speakON. The unit is housed in a 15 mm birch plywood enclosure, a choice consistent with a system designed to withstand regular set-ups, dismantling and use. The Tower 15 Max is therefore clearly aimed at users who want a powerful, controllable sound system capable of adapting to a range of audio applications, from high-energy DJ sets to live performances and professional events.
