ENGL - E611 Savage 30

The ENGL E611 Savage 30 valve amp delivers 30 W of power, with 2 EL34 power valves and 4 ECC83 (12AX7) preamp valves to bring your playing to life! Its two channels – Clean and Lead – feature separate gain controls, allowing you to switch from a clean tone to a more powerful overdrive without having to adjust your settings. The Lead channel goes the extra mile with its 3-band EQ, dedicated volume control, and Contour, Low/High Gain and Depth Boost controls. This allows you to shape a distortion that truly responds to the way you attack the strings.

As the gain increases, the noise gate built into the Lead channel helps keep the signal clean by limiting unwanted noise. Its rear-panel control allows you to tailor it to your setup without cluttering the amp’s front panel. The Master Volume and Presence controls also let you adjust the Savage 30’s overall response to suit the sound you’re after. The effects loop, meanwhile, makes it easy to integrate your pedals and other effects into the signal chain.

The Power Soak lets you choose between Full Power, 5 W and 1 W, and also features a Speaker Off setting to adapt the amp’s use to different situations. You can therefore make the most of its all-valve character at various power levels to suit your needs. The S.A.C. port allows you to connect an ENGL Z9 footswitch, whilst the jack input accepts the Z4 dual footswitch to control even more functions with your feet. The speaker outputs support one 8–16-ohm connection or two 16-ohm connections.

A 6.35 mm jack line output completes the range of connections and makes it easy to connect to your setup. The Savage 30 retains a relatively compact size for an amp of this power. This gives you a fully-fledged ENGL amp, capable of switching from clean to heavy tones whilst offering you plenty of scope for adjustment.
