Supro - Royale Head

Fifty watts from two 5881 power tubes — this is the heart of the Supro Royale Head, an amplifier head whose warm, rich sound makes its presence felt from the very first notes. The preamp stage, built around three 12AX7s, one 12AT7 and one 12DW7, creates a precise tonal hierarchy: the harmonics unfold naturally, without harshness, with that organic density characteristic of well-designed valve circuits.
The control section — Volume, Boost, Treble, Mid, Bass and Master — offers a sufficiently wide range of shaping to navigate from the cleanest basic tone to the most saturated textures. The built-in reverb, controlled by the Reverb Level and Dwell controls, provides spatial depth that can be adjusted manually; the built-in effects loop, meanwhile, opens up the entire signal chain without any unwanted colouration. Three TS footswitch sockets allow remote control of the functions, with footswitches available separately to suit stage requirements.
In terms of construction, the poplar cabinet lightens the structure without sacrificing the cabinet’s resonance — a wood with lively sound transmission that is often underestimated. The Black Scandia finish with cream piping and a Hemp grille with gold mesh anchors the head in the Supro visual tradition. The multiple speaker outputs — 16 ohms, 2 × 8 ohms and 2 × 4 ohms — are compatible with any cabinet, whether in the studio or on tour.
