Epiphone - 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue Washed Cherry Sunburst + Etui
Electric and downright inspired, the Les Paul Epiphone 1960 Standard Reissue Washed Cherry Sunburst draws its DNA from a model that rocked more than just amps. This Inspired by Gibson model revisits a monument with an assertive vintage look, a AAA flamed maple top and a 60s-style SlimTaper glued neck, brighter than the light of a heartfelt solo. The duo of Gibson Custombucker pickups, old-school wiring and hand-picked components create a riff machine that's both faithful to the original and comfortable to play. Epiphone packs it all in a hard case with a contrasting pink interior.
Presentation
Beneath its Washed Cherry Sunburst finish lies a construction that deserves a look - or several. Solid mahogany body, carved maple top, AAA flamed veneer... it's all there, right down to the cream binding that surrounds the contours like a compass-applied line of eyeliner. Inside, the heart beats loudly: the Custombucker pickups with Alnico 3 magnets, hand-wired with Luxe Bumblebee capacitors, are ready to growl as well as sing. This guitar knows no half measures.
And because there's more to a Les Paul than its looks or its woods, Epiphone has allowed itself a few touches that make all the difference: Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, Tune-O-Matic ABR-1 bridge, stop bar tailpiece... There's no guesswork in the equation. Even the ∅6.35 mm jack output has been entrusted to Switchcraft, so that your cables don't give out when the solo takes over. This model pays homage to the past without getting stuck in it.
Playing comfort hasn't been left to improvisation either. With its 43mm Graph Tech saddle, medium jumbo frets and 305mm radius, this Epiphone Les Paul Standard Reissue 1960 feels more like a friendly handshake than a showdown. You plug it in, you play, you forget that you're not yet in the credits of a cult album.

A little tip for the curious: combining this guitar with a British-style tube amp produces results as velvety as a Cream riff.
And for those who like their equipment right up to the strings, a pedalboard with vintage fuzz and spring reverb completes the picture without going overboard. Even the purists are likely to smile.
