Epiphone - Broadway Wine Red
Epiphone Broadway Wine Red The Epiphone Broadway Wine Red showcases all the elegance of a jazz archtop with its deep, eye-catching finish. Its laminated maple body delivers a warm resonance, whilst the Alnico Classic PRO pickups enrich the tonal range. The SlimTaper 60s C neck offers a smooth playing experience, from the studio to the stage.
Presentation
The name ‘Broadway’ dates back to 1931, the year Epiphone launched its Masterbilt range in New York, before joining the Gibson family in 1957. This glossy Wine Red finish highlights the wood’s grain and sets the Broadway apart from a mere reissue of an archive model.
The selected spruce top and laminated maple body, edged with 6-ply binding, define the Broadway silhouette across a 24.75-inch scale length. The three-piece maple neck, with a SlimTaper 60s C profile, leads to a rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius, where 20 medium-jumbo frets and mother-of-pearl block and abalone triangle inlays mark each fret. The Graph Tech nut measures 42.93 mm.
Two Alnico Classic PRO pickups mounted in an HH configuration beneath gold-coloured covers send the woody tone of the body to a 6.35 mm jack, controlled by two volume controls, two CTS tone controls and a 3-position selector switch. The floating rosewood bridge and gold-coloured Frequensator tailpiece stabilise the tuning beneath the black laminated pickguard featuring the Epiphone ‘E’ logo.
The Grover Rotomatic tuners, the Clipped Dovewing headstock edged with 5-ply binding, its mother-of-pearl ‘Tree of Life’ inlay and Epiphone logo round off the package with gold-coloured hardware. The Crescent Bullet truss rod cover and black Top Hat knobs with silver inserts complete this 6-string guitar, which comes in a premium gig bag.
