Guitar Double Cut

Introduced in 1958, the Coronet became a huge success for Epiphone and has been played by some of the greatest names. This new Made in the USA version uses only the best: a mahogany body and neck topped by a Bikini style headstock, a SlimTaper profile and a single P-90 pickup. The body is slightly tapered for even greater ergonomics. Ebony finish.

Epiphone's very first original creation, it became a huge success in 1958 with its symmetrical double cut. Since then, it has been a favourite with the biggest names in rock: Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Marr, Steve Marriott, Marshall Crenshaw, etc.

Epiphone wanted to pay tribute to this iconic model by creating a line specially made in the USA, with the utmost attention to detail in the finish and choice of equipment.

Made from a mahogany body, it has been slightly tapered to make it easier to hold, whatever the size of the guitarist. For added comfort, the mahogany neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard feature the Slimtaper profile so popular with technical players, and Epiphone has slightly enlarged the nut to meet more 'modern' standards.

This superbly simple and effective machine would be nothing without its US-made P-90 pickup, a simple, overblown coil that produces a very pronounced, deep crunch and a warm, round, clear sound.

You can protect the Ebony finish and gloss varnish with the included hardshell case.
