The SC4070 sets a new benchmark in terms of sonic balance and precision, as well as reproduction of the lowest frequencies.

The SC4070 active studio monitor is a first-class listening system, the successor to the SC407, from which it takes its concept but supersedes it with outstanding performance and sonic precision.
The SC4070 shines with its perfected midrange/treble section and its ability to easily reproduce the lower end of the spectrum thanks to two 6.5" drivers and a very generous amplification stage. The two woofers help to reduce distortion, even at very high sound pressure levels, and produce an incredibly tight, even bass as well as a very linear overall response.

The SC4070 is a 4-way system with a symmetrical design. Built around a massive silver aluminium plate, its centre section has much more to offer than just visual appeal. It houses the midrange driver and AMT tweeter and can be rotated so that the monitor performs equally well in both vertical and horizontal positions. The filters for adapting to the acoustics of the venue and the volume control are directly accessible from the front panel, thanks to the SMART button and its ring of LEDs for extremely precise parameter setting.
The speaker's complex cabinet further optimises performance. The ultra-rigid front panel with bevelled edges reduces unwanted resonance and diffraction.

Our SC4070 4-way listening system is equipped with two 6.5" SilverCone woofers. They use a specially designed 1.5" voice coil that extends low-frequency reproduction down to 32 Hz. The two woofers work together up to 280 Hz.

The SilverCone 4" midrange driver is specially designed to complement the two woofers, giving them longer linear travel and ensuring clear, accurate midrange reproduction. The magnetic system of these three transducers is equipped with our special copper capsule, which ensures extremely low levels of distortion. The exclusive diaphragm combines a honeycomb structure with a glass fibre coating to ensure spectacularly clear and detailed sound reproduction.

Our proprietary Air Motion Transformer AMT RS3.1 tweeter complements the SC4070. The heart of the AMT transducers is a folded diaphragm placed in a powerful magnetic field generated by a large neodymium magnet. Thanks to an improved design that uses new materials, enhances internal damping and improves magnetic field performance, the SC4070 produces superior sound pressure levels, all virtually undistorted even at the highest sound volumes. The AMT RS3.1 tweeter is capable of reproducing frequencies up to 40 kHz.

Each driver in the SC4070 is powered by its own PWM amplifier for a total short-term output power of 1000 watts. With a maximum sound pressure level of 126 dB (SPL at 1 m, semi-open space, even), you can accurately judge the quality of a mix whatever the target output level.

The SC4070 ideally combines a powerful bass, a totally transparent midrange and a silky, crystalline treble. It is the ideal tool for medium and large listening rooms where sound quality and power are important variables.

As with every EVE Audio studio monitor, the SC4070 offers a balanced input on an XLR connector and an unbalanced input on an RCA connector.

Every EVE Audio monitor houses high-resolution DSP electronics. A state-of-the-art A/D converter manufactured by BurrBrown (24 bits/192 kHz) converts the analogue signal fed into the RCA or XLR input. The DSP filters the signal without latency and protects the system from distortion across the entire bandwidth. When switched on, the volume of the SC3070 increases gradually to give the user enough time to reduce the level of the source if the level of the input signal is too high.

The intelligent SMART-Knob rotary encoder with push function and LED ring allows the response to be adapted to the acoustic environment. It controls both the volume of the system and the acoustic correction filters (low and high shelving filters plus midrange filter). All parameters and settings are indicated by the LED ring. The brightness of the LED ring can also be adjusted for dark studios and video applications.

High-quality Class D amplifiers provide all the power needed for a modern and demanding professional listening system. Volume and/or crossover settings can be locked using DIP switches on the rear of the speaker to prevent inadvertent manipulation.
