Fender’s American Professional Jazz Bass RW Dark Night continues a lineage that has shaped more than six decades of musical history, whilst incorporating innovations designed for contemporary bassists.

Its alder body – a wood renowned for its tonal balance – is paired with a maple neck featuring a Slim “C” profile. The rounded fretboard edges and the “Super-Natural” satin finish on the back of the neck provide a smooth and natural playing feel.

The redesigned heel improves access to the higher notes, making it easier to move along the entire length of the neck. The rosewood fingerboard, with a 9.5-inch radius, features twenty Narrow Tall frets and a 38.1 mm bone nut, ensuring excellent playing precision.

The two V-Mod III Single-Coil Jazz Bass® pickups reproduce the model’s iconic sound signature, combining articulation, punch and clarity, without compromising the character for which the Jazz Bass® is renowned. The ClassicGear™ Precision™ controls provide smooth and musical control over volume and tone.

The HiMass™ Pro bridge, which allows for either through-body or top-load mounting, offers welcome flexibility. The Fender® Lightweight Vintage-Style tuners, with tapered axles, help maintain tuning stability. Supplied in its Deluxe Moulded Case, this bass is ready to withstand the rigours of travel and the demands of both live performances and studio sessions.
