Fender - American Professional Precision Bass Maple 3-Color Sunburst

The Fender American Professional Precision Bass Maple 3-Colour Sunburst draws on more than seventy years of Precision Bass® evolution to meet the expectations of today’s bassists. Its alder body with a polyurethane finish is paired with a maple neck and maple fingerboard, offering a design true to the spirit of the original model.

The neck features a Medium ‘C’ profile and benefits from rounded fretboard edges, a ‘Super-Natural’ satin finish on the back, and a redesigned heel. This combination provides a comfortable grip and makes it easier to reach notes in the higher registers. The fingerboard has a 9.5" radius, 20 Narrow Tall frets and a 41.3 mm bone nut.

The electronics are based on a V-Mod III Split Single-Coil Precision Bass® pickup. According to Fender, this new generation offers greater precision whilst retaining the punch and character typical of the Precision Bass®. The Master Volume and Master Tone controls use ClassicGear™ Precision™ potentiometers, designed to offer smooth rotation, calibrated resistance and a progressive response.

The 4-Saddle HiMass™ Pro bridge allows for either through-body or top-load string routing, to suit the musician’s preferences. The Fender® Lightweight Vintage-Style tuners with tapered axles aid in tuning the instrument, whilst the nickel/chrome hardware and 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard complete its look.

Supplied with Fender® USA 7250M Nickel-Plated Steel strings (.045–.105), this bass also comes with a Deluxe moulded case for easy transport and protection. The package brings together design enhancements designed to offer a familiar feel, a versatile tonal range and performance suited to both stage and studio use.
