Presentation
The ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge was designed by legendary Gibson president Ted McCarty in 1954, setting a standard of simplicity and functionality that has never been bettered. The ABR-1 is inserted directly into the body of the guitar using a separate knob and wheel, providing a firm seat for the strings and allowing intonation and pitch to be set and fine-tuned in minutes. It also gives an excellent union between the strings and the body, resulting in a great vintage sound and excellent sustain.
