With this Gretsch Catalina Club CC2-J483-GCB drum kit, you're entering a series that marked a key stage in Gretsch's evolution. Catalina Club is the brand's first range to be manufactured outside the United States, while retaining an instantly recognisable sound identity. The choice of 7-ply mahogany gives the sound a warm, round and musical feel.
The 30° chamfer ensures that the barrel vibrates quickly and responds precisely, even at low volume. The result is flexible tuning and great tolerance. The Remo Ambassador heads are fitted as standard, so you can get the most out of the barrel right from the start.
The 18 "x14" bass drum develops a deep bass with a clean attack, ideal for jazz, soul, blues or modern pop. The bass drum is compact and easy to fit into small spaces. The 12 "x8" tom offers balanced, legible projection. The 14 "x14" bass tom reinforces the rhythmic base without excessive heaviness.
The 1.6 mm triple-flange hoops let the drum breathe and contribute to natural sustain. The wooden hoops on the bass drum add to the coherent sound and classic aesthetic. The Mini GTS system and 'Gas Cap' binding limit stress on the body.
The Gloss Crimson Burst finish adds a strong visual presence, while respecting the traditional spirit of the series.
