The Gretsch Catalina Club CC2-M264 Sahara Sparkle is for those who want a real acoustic drum kit without taking up too much space. With its compact configuration - 10" x 7" tom, 13" x 12" bass tom, 16" x 12" kick drum and 13" x 5" snare drum - this kit is easy to set up and very comfortable to play, even in a small room. The bass drum riser included helps the bass drum breathe and project more, despite its small diameter.
The sound character comes from the 7-ply mahogany drums combined with the 30° chamfers. This combination produces a round, warm and immediately legible sound, with a smooth response under the sticks. The Gretsch heads made by Remo contribute to this feeling of control and musicality from the very first strokes, without complicated adjustments.
The chrome hardware is simple and functional, with a simple tom stand included for quick installation. Supplied without cymbals or stands, this Catalina Club leaves the choice of accessories wide open, while laying a solid foundation that's true to the famous 'That Great Gretsch Sound', in an accessible, well-thought-out format.
