HK Audio - Elements MK2 Smart Base

The HK Audio Elements MK2 Smart Base column system combines a modular design with a sound dispersion pattern engineered to maintain consistent sound coverage across a wide listening area.

HK Audio offers a complete solution comprising two Elements MK2 635 mid-high frequency speakers, one Elements MK2 110 Sub A subwoofer and a coupling bar. Its line array design promotes wide horizontal dispersion, providing more consistent coverage of the audience and better sound level preservation at a distance. The controlled directivity thus minimises dead spots in the venue.

The on-board DSP automatically detects the number of mid-treble units in use and loads the filters suited to their configuration. This automatic management maintains a consistent response without the need for additional manual adjustments. The Flat, Contour and Voice presets also allow the sound to be quickly adapted to the requirements of music or vocal reproduction.

The system’s scalability is based on a truly modular architecture, supporting up to 3 mid-high units and 2 subwoofers. The system also supports the integration of a LINEAR 5 MK2 115 SUB A, thanks to compatible dimensions and cardioid configuration options for better control over the directivity of low frequencies.

The network connectivity adds an extra dimension to the system via Ethernet, control via DSP CONTROL and Milan-AVB audio streaming, all over a single network cable. This architecture facilitates integration into a distributed audio installation and also allows for the management of customised configurations. The shared DSP platform with the LINEAR 5 MK2 and LINEAR 9 ranges facilitates unified management of compatible equipment.
