Electro-Voice - Pack EVOLVE 50 G2 + Cover

This Electro-Voice pack combines a portable EVOLVE 50 G2 column sound system with the EVOLVE 50 SUB CVR cover designed specifically for its subwoofer. The advantage of this package is that it provides a complete sound system with the mixing function built directly into the system, without the need to add a separate mixing desk to your setup. This allows you to set up a performance using your microphones, instruments and music sources from a single control point, then protect the subwoofer when it’s time to transport or store your equipment.

The EVOLVE 50 G2 delivers a total of 1,500 W, split between 750 W for the bass and 750 W for the treble. Its 12-inch subwoofer works in tandem with a column featuring six 3.5-inch neodymium magnet drivers. This combination delivers a frequency response of 37 Hz to 20 kHz, with a coverage angle of 120° horizontally and 40° vertically. The maximum sound pressure level reaches 129 dB at 1 m, making it suitable for music, vocals and instruments alike.

The built-in 6-channel mixer offers several options for organising your various sources. Four XLR/6.35 mm jack combo inputs are available for microphone or line sources, supplemented by two stereo inputs via RCA and 3.5 mm mini-jack. A Hi-Z 6.35 mm jack input also accommodates suitable sources, with switchable +48 V phantom power. The two XLR Aux & Mix outputs also make it easy to connect other components in your system.

For wireless music streaming, stereo Bluetooth with TWS is built into the system. The QuickSmart DSP processing adds 30 DSP effects as well as Ducking, which automatically reduces the music volume when someone starts speaking. Settings can be adjusted via the built-in controls, the 2.8-inch colour LCD screen or the QuickSmart App 3.0. The system can also share audio and control with a second EVOLVE 50 G2 via the RJ45 QuickSmart Link.

The whole unit is designed to be easy to move around: the subwoofer features a polyurea-coated plywood construction, the column is made of composite material and the pole is made of aluminium. A carry bag is provided for the column and the pole. A 6.35 mm TRS jack footswitch socket is also available for the system’s control functions.

Finally, the pack includes the EVOLVE 50 SUB CVR cover, a truly useful accessory when the system needs to be transported regularly or stored away between gigs. Made from tear-resistant reinforced nylon, it protects the cabinet whilst allowing access to the handles thanks to its openings on the top and sides. Its internal dimensions of approximately 520 x 490 x 355 mm mean it can be used with the subwoofers of the EVOLVE 50 G2, EVOLVE 50 G2 White, EVOLVE 50M G2 and EVOLVE 50M G2 White. Its black nylon and white EV logo complement the case’s protection without obscuring its appearance during transport.
