Presentation
New to the GM40 is Deluxe Tone technology. The principle, known as Cathode Follower, resides in a specific circuit that lowers the impedance at the lamp's cathode. Among other things, this results in greater dynamics and punch. This process also gives the brand's 'Deluxe' models a fuller, creamier sound with a wider frequency response, resulting in less aggressive bass and a deeper midrange. This new circuit design ensures that each channel has its own character, its own grain and its own sound signature, delivering beautiful tones.
This head also features a new Red Box "AE" DI output that simulates a 4 x 12-inch cabinet. "AE" stands for Ambiance Emulation, as this output has been reworked to deliver an even more detailed cabinet sound that's true to life.
