Among its Creator range microphones, IK Multimedia presents the iRig Mic Video model.

This adopts the shape and advantages of a shotgun microphone, all in a compact format to satisfy the needs of content creators. This model has, in fact, small dimensions which allow it to be transported very easily.

Better yet, it can be attached to a wide variety of supports: smartphones and tablets (iOS, Android), reflex cameras (DSLR) and laptops. A simple magnetic pad or hot shoe adapter for DSLRs allows you to quickly attach the device to your camera. There you go, you're ready to record, wherever you are!

The iRig Mic Video is not only effective indoors in an acoustically treated environment, it also demonstrates good performance outdoors. To do this, the manufacturer equipped it with a 0.55” gold-sputtered condenser capsule incorporating a narrow and directional sensor for supercardioid directivity. This way, the microphone only captures sounds coming from the subject, without background noise. Another feature helping to record outdoors: the gain adjustment wheel – over a range of 47 dB. A 24-bit/96kHz conversion ensures sound clarity at all times. All you have to do is position the included windscreen.

This model has a micro-USB output for use with the Lightning, micro-USB and USB-C cables provided, a headphone output for real-time monitoring (with On/Off selector) as well as a camera output to connect it to a compatible DSLR (3.5 mm mini-Jack). Note that a 3V CR1632 battery powers the device when connected to a camera.
