Control Surface
Intech Studio's PO16 control surface orchestrates your digital parameters with fast, precise gestures for controlling EQs, filters and software synths. This compact module houses 16 responsive knobs, each illuminated by customisable multicolour LEDs to guide you through the studio darkness. Connected via USB-C, this touch-sensitive interface lets you sculpt your automations like a conductor tunes his orchestra with nimble fingers and a discreet smile.

Presentation
As soon as you connect the PO16 surface to your PC, the USB-C connection immediately powers up and activates class-compliant MIDI communication recognised by most DAWs. The module identifies itself as an assignable device, making it easy to learn MIDI so you can quickly map each command to your tracks, virtual instruments or effects. If several Grid modules are daisy-chained, they function as a single coherent interface, making complex projects easier to navigate.
Under your fingertips, the 16 potentiometers rotate through 300° using conductive plastic selected for stable, even grip. Each axis reacts finely to variations, helping to control synthesis parameters, EQ frequencies or effect intensities with a consistent response. High-definition MIDI resolution supports multiple bit depths, improving the accuracy of recorded automation and facilitating nuanced control when making quick adjustments.
With the Grid Editor software available on macOS, Windows and Linux, you can freely configure each control using action blocks or Lua scripting to adapt the interface to your workflow. Configurations are saved directly to the internal memory, with 4 pages accessible from the hardware to recall different routings without interrupting the creation. The event-driven architecture triggers actions as soon as an interaction occurs, such as changing an LED colour or sending a specific MIDI message to drive hardware synthesizers, VST or software lighting.
The black anodised aluminium front panel combined with a sturdy chassis maintains a solid feel through repeated handling. RGB LEDs next to each control display customisable colours, adjustable intensities and even pulsed animations for easy visual identification in dark environments. Silicone feet and internal magnets keep the module securely in place on a desk or compatible modular surface.

The Grid series is the brainchild of a Hungarian workshop dedicated to hybrid creators who combine music, image and digital performance. The PO16 model is part of this modular approach, designed to evolve with changing needs. The brand develops its tools around open standards so that each module can dialogue easily with various creative environments.
