Presentation
The result of a highly successful Kickstarter project, Exquis is an expressive MIDI controller with a backlit hexagonal keyboard. It is compatible with all MIDI synthesizers, modular synthesizers and music software, and is optimized for its dedicated application.
Its hexagonal keyboard is designed to be more ergonomic and intuitive than a traditional piano keyboard. It makes it easier to play chords and scales, and offers greater expressivity.
The keyboard is backlit to help you visualise the notes you're playing. You can also customise the backlighting to create your own visual effects.
Exquis offers a wide range of expressive features, including velocity, aftertouch, and polyphonic MIDI control (MPE).
The dedicated Exquis application lets you create and edit sounds, compose music, and control your DAW.

By default, Exquis's hexagonal matrix of keys gathers good-sounding notes (thirds) next to each other: chords are constructed with ergonomic shapes that are easy to play, learn and understand

Backlit keys allow the player to display any musical scale (or any custom map), guiding the player on the right path. Over 350 scales and modes are available

Keys are independently sensitive to velocity, pressure and tilt (MIDI Polyphonic Expression protocol); key silicon is both firm enough to play percussion and short notes with precision, and soft enough to modulate long notes with sensitivity

The unique creative workflow (keyboard buttons + application) means that anyone can create a song in just a few minutes, with very simple gestures: choose a sound, record loops and compose songs live or programme them in advance
