Presentation
This 8-channel digital multipair cable is based on a professional AES/EBU digital audio multipair OmniWIRE cable. As a result, it benefits from an ultra-low capacitance of 49 pF/m and a conductor cross-section of 0.22 mm². Two 25-pin D-Sub connectors, of YAMAHA™ digital standard, ensure the transmission of the various signals.
This design allows very high sound quality and can be connected to many studio configurations that have YAMAHA™ peripherals(recorder, console, rack or interface equipment...).
Each strand of the cable is surrounded by a braided jacket and the contact surfaces are gold-plated, guaranteeing an interference-free signal. Finally, the cable has a transparent heat-shrink sleeve at the ends for durable labelling.

OmniWIRE OW15Y multipair cables are highly flexible, each strand consisting of 19 wires. Two wires are each braided into a pair and protected against interference by a spiral shield. Above this shielding, a numbered PVC pair sheath surrounds the pair of wires, so that each element can be easily identified.
The cable contains between two and twenty-four of these elements. They comply with the AES/EBU standard and are therefore suitable for both analogue and digital audio. The braided layers of these elements fixed to the core of the cable maintain its structure even under heavy loads. This makes it particularly suitable for mobile cabling in the studio. The whole cable is surrounded by an extremely flexible outer sheath made of soft PVC.
