The RME AI25 8TPRO 5m utilises this architecture by grouping eight analogue audio links within a single cable, featuring a male D-Sub 25 connector on one end and eight individual TRS connectors on the other.

The 5-metre length provides considerable flexibility for installations where equipment cannot be grouped together in the same location. In particular, it can facilitate connections between an audio interface and a peripheral rack, between a mixing desk and a rack, or between different components of a sound production system. The multi-pair cable thus allows for greater flexibility in layout without having to resort to eight separate cables.

Each channel has its own TRS jack connector, with numbered markings that make it easier to identify the channels.
