The KSD C-55 Reference is a sophisticated 2.5-way coaxial nearfield monitor designed for exceptional audio performance. It incorporates a custom-built 5.5-inch coaxial main driver with glass fibre cone and 1-inch silk tweeter, as well as a dedicated 5.5-inch bass driver with glass fibre cone. This configuration guarantees maximum neutrality and minimum distortion, reproducing every sound and every impulse with precision and musicality.

Key Technologies and Design:
- Exclusive FIRTEC™ Technology: This patented technology uses linear-phase FIRTEC™ filters for fast, accurate sound reproduction across the entire frequency range, delivering crisp, pulse-faithful sound. Signal processing is provided by a DSP with a FPGA processor based on patented KSD-FIRTEC™ (patent: 19823110), including functions such as FIR-Xover, limiter, 6 user EQ curves, high and low shelves, delay and gain.
- Coaxial design: The unique coaxial structure ensures optimum radiation and a wide sweet spot. It functions as a true point source, offering freedom of positioning and listening distance, and supports both vertical and horizontal orientations.
- High power output: Equipped with a power amplifier delivering over 350W (peak), the C-55 Reference has the power reserves to match any professional studio application.
- Efficient performance: Proprietary high-efficiency drivers reduce distortion at higher volumes. In addition, PWM power amplifiers ensure minimal residual heat, improving system durability and performance.

Versatility and adaptability:
The C-55 Reference is optimised for performance in any listening environment, including vertical and horizontal orientation as well as wall installations, ensuring maximum control over sound reproduction in a variety of environments. Six user parametric equalizers built into the FIRTEC™ processor allow perfect adaptation to the listening room and distance. An optional remote control (KSD-RC) can be used to control the 6 user equalizers, volume, delay, etc.
