Larry Carlton - J5 Blue

The Sire J5 Blue electric guitar is designed to give a richer, more open sound than the simpler models in the series. When plugged in, the sound takes up more space and maintains good clarity. It retains its character even when you turn up the volume or gain a little.

The alder body provides a natural balance between bass, midrange and treble. Each register remains legible, helping it to stand out in a mix. The maple neck with C-profile is comfortable over time.

The ebony or maple fingerboard, depending on the version, gives a fast feel under the fingers. It's easy to switch from rhythmic playing to more melodic lines. The 24.1 cm radius helps to keep the whole neck comfortable.

LC Vintage JM-type pickups add more density than on the J3. The sound gains in presence, especially when you combine the positions. The 3-position selector lets you change the sound colour to suit the song.

The vintage-style vibrato adds movement to your playing, while maintaining stable tuning under normal use. The bridge remains reliable and responsive. The locking action helps to keep the strings evenly tensioned while playing.
